Seana Smith

Seana Smith was born and brought up in East Lothian, Scotland. She studied Classics and then Old and Medieval English at Wadham College, University of Oxford (much to her surprise and delight.)

Seana worked in TV production for ten years, first in Sydney at Channel 9 and then in London and Glasgow with the BBC.  Seana’s first son was born and the family lived in Karachi, Pakistan and then emigrated to Sydney.

Seana is proudly alcohol free and she is an advocate for the #sobercool. She is an enthusiastic ocean swimmer all year round. 

Seana has twice been interviewed on ABC Conversations, why both Richard Fidler and Sarah Kanowski. Interviews with Seana and her writing have appeared in The Scotsman, The Scots Magazine, Punch, The Australian Magazine, The Sun-Herald, The Sydney Morning Herald and Outdoor Swimmer magazine.
