Dr Linda Weste is an author, educator, scholar and guest speaker who lives in Naarm–Melbourne. A former book reviews editor and knowledge expert on the verse novel, Linda has edited the interview collections DiVERSE: Conversations with YA and Children’s Verse Novelists, The Verse Novel: Australia & New Zealand, and Inside the Verse Novel: Writers on Writing.

Her historical verse novel won the Wesley Michel Wright Poetry Prize and was Highly Commended in the Anne Elder Poetry Award. She promotes verse novels on social media and is an advocate for The National Centre Australian Children’s Literature (NCACL) – Verse Novel Resource.

Literature transforms human experience and reflects it back to us, and in that reflection we can see our own lives and experiences as part of the larger human experience.
