Karen Hendriks

Karen Hendriks is an award winning children’s author who lives on the south coast of New South Wales. Karen has six published picture books with more coming.
She is the author of the Nan Tien Temple’s first picture book Seeking Treasure from Bodhi. The Temple is the biggest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere.
She has a teaching background and literacy is her specialty. Karen is a Books in Homes ambassador and facilitates workshops for both children and adults. She actively participates with students during school visits and genuinely loves sharing her passion for books. Karen regularly donates books for children to the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Prince of Wales. She is excited for the release of her new picture books Saving Pearl and Reef, Enid Thinks Outside the Shell, and A Bonegilla Girl.
