Crystal Corocher is an award-winning author of big-hearted stories for children and young adults. 

Crystal’s most recent publication, Giovanni, is an historical picture book, written in both English and Italian and shares the story of some of Australia’s first Italian migrants. The title character, Giovanni, is based on the author’s great-grandfather. The book was awarded first place in the 2025 Forevability Awards, worldwide category.  

Crystal was invited to participate in the UNESCO City of Literature Roundtable event at the State Library of Victoria in 2022, discussing reading culture and how readers around the world connect with literature.

A regular contributor at literature conferences, Crystal has participated on panels at events such as CYA and BookUp and was shortlisted for the ABIA Rising Star of Australian Publishing in 2022, this was also the year of her first picture book release.

Crystal writes across genres and is currently completing a Masters in Teaching and Learning; she is always looking for new ways to learn and grow as an educator and writer to support and encourage our next generation of voices.
