Carly-Jay Metcalfe is a Queensland-based author.

Her debut memoir, Breath, was published by UQP in 2024 to critical acclaim. Her work has appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, Kill Your Darlings and TEXT journal.

She is currently an M.Phil candidate in creative writing at the University of Queensland.
