Ben Walter is a Walkley Award-winning essayist and a past fiction editor at Island. He is the author of the acclaimed short story collection, What Fear Was, and the poetry book Lithosphere.
His writing has appeared in prestigious international publications, including The Kenyon Review (US), Poetry Ireland Review, The Cimarron Review (US) and 3:AM Magazine (France), as well as dozens of times in in Australia’s major periodicals, including Meanjin, Overland, Island, Griffith Review and The Saturday Paper.
He is an accomplished event presenter, and has performed his work at countless events and festivals, as well as on Radio National.
