Grab your reading passport: Global Book Crawl kicks off around Australia

This April 20-26, readers can take part a curated ‘crawl’ around the independent bookshops in a range of Australian cities.

The Global Book Crawl is an international initiative in which independent bookshops across the world invite readers to walk from bookshop to bookshop, to rediscover familiar places, and to experience books as something shared.

The heart of the Global Book Crawl is the joy of discovery: wandering through bookstores, getting lost in conversations, and finding titles you didn’t know you needed.

This year, a range of cities across Australia have signed up, offering readers a curated ‘crawl’ through their local bookshops.

To get involved, simply visit a participating bookshops to get your ‘passport’ and collect stamps at local bookshops – there are audiobooks, totebags, and other bookish prizes to be won for those who collect a certain number of stamps.

Get involved at your local participating city, and join in the global conversation using the hashtag #GlobalBookCrawl.
