Zoë Bennett
Illustrator of Picture Books
based in NSW
Zoë Bennett is a children’s illustrator based in Sydney, Australia. Her digital illustrations celebrate themes of childhood, imagination, narrative, everyday joy, and human-animal connection with candidness, intricacy and whimsy.
Zoë has always been happiest when making things. Since childhood, she has loved imagining characters and their worlds, dabbling in crafts and translating ideas into pictures. She has fond memories of her childhood books and feels very lucky to now get to create stories for littles and their grown-ups to enjoy.
Zoë has illustrated several titles for clients both in Australia and Internationally. Picture books she has illustrated have been recognised by the Australian Children’s Book Council Awards, state government initiatives and Copyright Australia’s Reading Australia program. Her most recent titles include Bernie Thinks In Boxes, written by Jess Horn (Affirm Press) and Don’t Worry, Felix, written by Yohann Devezy and Katharine Alice (New Frontier Publishing), both of which have been recognised in the 2025 CBCA awards.
Outside illustration, Zoë’s heart belongs to ocean swims, chai tea, roadtrips, baking, her best friend (aka. her cat), music and travel.
