Awarded the Lifetime Social Justice Literature by International Literacy Association, nominated Astrid Ingrid Memorial Award & Order of Australia, Susanne Gervay is recognized for her youth literature on social justice – from multiculturalism, disability to peace. The I Am Jack books are definitive novels on school bullying, adapted into an acclaimed play by Monkey Baa Theatre. She is an award-winning short story writer, published in many literary journals and anthologies alongside Sir Salmon Rushie and David Malouf. An international speaker, she has addressed audiences from Istanbul, New York, Delhi to London.
