Sally Murphy writes for children because they are the most important people in the world. Her books may make you laugh, or cry, or just think about stuff, but most of all Sally hopes that her books make you see that life is pretty wonderful.
Sally is the author of award winning books including Pearl Verses the World and Worse Things and her more than fifty books include picture books, historical fiction, poetry and educational titles. She is also an academic, teaching teachers how to teach at Curtin University, and in 2022 she was awarded an OAM for her contributions to children’s literature.
When she isn’t writing, or reading, or talking about writing or reading, Sally can be found walking on the beach, swimming or spending time with her dog, cat and big family, who she adores.
