Rebecca Fung is a Sydney-based author. Her children’s short stories have appeared in The School Magazine and in anthologies published by Christmas Press. Her chapter books include Princess Hayley’s Comet (Christmas Press, 2018) and A Very Special Moon Mission (Christmas Press, 2022). Her latest children’s novel is Septopus (Owltitude Press, 2024).
She’s very curious about science and loves including scientific facts in her stories. She also loves fairytales and legends and working these into her stories.
Rebecca is experienced in running writing workshops for children and regularly leads the Woollahra library Reading and Writing Club. She’s an avid reader who reviews children’s books for the magazine Buzz Words. Find out more about her on www.rebeccafung.com
Rebecca has also been the Managing Editor of Federation Press for five years. She currently directs her own publishing venture, Owltitude Press. She is an active participant in the Author Pen Pals program which promotes children’s literacy and love of reading, and connects Australian authors and schools. She is also a role model for Books In Homes Australia which brings books to disadvantaged children across Australia.
