Phil Hore

The author of numerous books and literally hundreds of articles for publishers across the world, including the world-renowned Famous Monsters of Filmland and the Prehistoric Times Magazine.

For the last 20 years Phil has been a museum educator and designed tours for some of the world’s leading institutions, including:

•  The Australian War Memorial

• Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

• Chicago’s Field Museum

• The London Natural History Museum

• Australian National Botanic Gardens

• Questacon

• Capricorn Caves

• The National Dinosaur Museum

• The National Film and Sound Archives

Phil’s also had a bunch of interesting jobs like comic shop manager, been a cinema projectionist, worked in the Canberra theatre, and gutted chickens for a deli. This wide variety of subjects somehow all seems to get mixed together and end up in his work.

Today he runs Time Safaris Walking Tours in Rockhampton. Ghosts, murders, true crime, history, cemetery and science walks of the Rockhampton zoo and Botanic Gardens is just some of the mischief Phil gets up to.
