Lucinda Gifford is the author and illustrator of many well-loved and award-winning books for kids. She has illustrated over 40 books, nine of which she has also written. Lucinda’s books have been translated into numerous languages and her popular picture book, Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas, was chosen for the 2020 Australia Library and Information Association’s (ALIA) National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS).

Boris in Switzerland, the second book in her ‘Wolves of Greycoat Hall’ series won the 2024 Davitt Award in the Children’s category, and was highly praised by the judges: “With witty, expressive illustrations on almost every page, it is jam-packed with the talent, passion, and esteem for readership of author-illustrator Lucinda Gifford”.

Lucinda works from her home studio in Melbourne and especially enjoys making books about chickens, dogs, cats, wolves and magical creatures.
