Laraine Stephens

Laraine Stephens lives in Beaumaris, a bayside suburb of Melbourne, Australia. With an Arts degree from the University of Melbourne, a Diploma of Education and a Graduate Diploma in Librarianship, she worked in secondary schools as a Head of Library. On retirement, Laraine turned her hand to the craft of crime writing. She has a six-book contract with Level Best Books (USA). She is the author of the Reggie da Costa Mysteries: ‘The Death Mask Murders’ (2021), ‘Deadly Intent‘ (2022), ‘A Deadly Game‘ (2023) and ‘Lies and Deception‘ (2024). Laraine has been a guest speaker at many Probus, Rotary, U3A and community clubs, as well as libraries and on community radio.
