Lachlann Carter is the author of BIG TROUBLE, a graphic hybrid middle-grade series (published by Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing), about a pair of young sisters who keep having to save their dad from getting chomped. The first book in the series, BIG TROUBLE with Angry Chairs, was released in August 2024, with the second book, BIG TROUBLE with an Old Fart, due for release in April 2025.
He has a forthcoming fold-out picture book series launching in 2026, also published by Hardie Grant.
Lachlann is the co-founder and former CEO of 100 Story Building, a not-for-profit children’s creative writing centre in Footscray, Melbourne.
He now lives in Cairns, where he works with schools and communities to develop creative thinking and learning skills.
