Kimberly Brown is a Canadian-born author-illustrator who lives with her husband and two young children next to the ocean on Awabakal land in NSW, Australia. She studied English and Visual Arts Teaching at University and has worked as a secondary school educator, on and off, for over a decade. She also works as a freelance artist and illustrator exhibiting in various galleries and creating art for private, commercial, and community projects. Most recently, she has authored and illustrated a picture book, How Big is the Sky (Affirm Press), which will be available in good bookstores from August. 

Kimberly is currently teaching Visual Arts at Novoschool in Newcastle, dreaming up new illustrated books and figuring out how to do this one wild moment of consciousness justice.
