Christina Booth

Christina Booth is an award-winning, internationally published author/illustrator of over 30 books for children. Her picture books cover many topics, including the environment, history, community and humour. Christina illustrates her own books, and books for other authors, including Jackie French, Colin Thiele, Tania McCartney, Libby Hathorn, and Claire Saxby.
Her books have won awards, including The Environment Award for Children’s Literature (Welcome Home ; One Careless Night), shortlisted in the Prima Minister’s Literary Awards (One Careless Night), The NSW Zoological Society Whitley Awards, Children’s educational (One Careless Night), and a CBCA Honour Book Award (Kip).
An experienced presenter, Christina loves to share her passion of storytelling, empowering others to find their story and how to share it. She encourages her younger audiences to read, and is known for her interactive workshops and presentations with all ages on the process of building stories and writing.
Christina’s latest books include: One Careless Night (2019, Walker Books); Mother Earth (Libby Hathorn, 2023, Hachette); Wedge-tailed Eagle (2024, Claire Saxby, Walker Books); and Purinina (2024, CSIRO Publishing).
Christina creates her work on Lutruwita (Tasmania), the land of the Palawa people. She enjoys travelling to encourage others to discover the power of books and story.
