Alison Evans is an award-winning author of novels and short stories. Most recently, they co-edited Avast! Pirate Stories from Transgender Authors with Michael Earp (Fremantle, 2024).
Their novels for teenagers, Euphoria Kids (Echo, 2020), Highway Bodies (Echo, 2019) and Ida (Echo, 2017) have won and been shortlisted for many awards. Ida won the People’s Choice Award at the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards in 2018.
Their shorter work appears in the anthologies Avast!, Everything Under the Moon (Affirm, 2023), Hometown Haunts (Wakefield, 2021) and Kindred (Walker, 2019) as well as in journals such as Overland, Going Down Swinging, Bramble and more.
They are based in Naarm.
