Aimee Chan
Author of Children’s Fiction
based in NSW
Aimee Chan is an internationally nominated author. She has published 11 picture books and appeared at writers’ festivals all over Australia. Her book, The Happy Mask, was adapted into a stage show that toured schools in NSW and Victoria for two years.
Aimee is also a public art curator and her exhibition Juvenilia has been displayed in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and the ACT. It features the works of some of the nation’s best loved and most decorated children’s authors and illustrators including Andy Griffiths, Graeme Base, Alison Lester and Danny Katz.
Aimee is a podcaster and has podcasted for SBS and the RHAP network in the USA. She has worked as a magazine writer and editor and her stories have appeared all over the globe in titles such as CNN, Harper’s BAZAAR, ELLE, L’Officiel and The Straits Times.
Aimee Chan is currently festival director for Write Around the Murray literary festival.
