Jayne McIntyre is a Sunshine Coast-based children’s author and marketing professional, known for her magical and adventurous tales with an Aussie twist.

Her debut series, The Feathers of Farwood (Feb 2026, Riveted Press), captures the essence of Australian landscapes and wildlife, with native owls taking centre stage. The trilogy explores themes of family, friendship, and finding one’s place for middle-grade readers (aged 8-12).

A lifelong lover of storytelling, Jayne pursued a Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Queensland. Her career has spanned print and web editing, copywriting, and marketing, roles that honed her ability to connect with young readers. She also grew up using Auslan as a second language in her household.

Jayne is available for interactive talks and library visits across Queensland and interstate, where she shares the inspiration behind her stories (drawing from Australian animals and landscapes, including her time living on k’Gari as a child), fun animal facts, her creative process, and the joy of storytelling.
