Melissa-Jane Fogarty is a Mununjali descendent who was born on Dharug Country and now lives on Darkinjung Country. She’s a freelance editor, helping to finesse the stories of other authors while writing her own. Melissa is the author of the non-fiction picture book Tubowgule: A Sydney Opera House History, which is illustrated by Dylan Finney and is the first in a series titled Our Lands. Melissa writes fiction with heart and non-fiction that explores fascinating people and places throughout history. When not writing, editing or illustrating, Melissa can be found drinking tea and hanging out with her family.
