Marija Peričić

Marija Peričić is a writer based in Naarm/Melbourne. Her first novel The Lost Pages (Allen & Unwin), won The Australian/Vogel’s Literary Award 2017, and she was named a Sydney Morning Herald Best Young Australian novelist for this work. Her second novel, Exquisite Corpse (Ultimo Press) was shortlisted for the 2024 Davitt Award. Her third novel, Foreign Country, is forthcoming in June 2025 with Ultimo Press. Marija’s short stories, essays and poetry have appeared in Meanjin, TEXT journal, Going Down Swinging, and The Big Issue Fiction Edition. Marija holds a PhD in Creative Writing from The University of Melbourne, where she also teaches creative writing.
