David Blumenstein works as a service designer and visual communicator. His award-winning comics work includes Free Money, Please and #takedown: My Evening on a Pier with Pick-up Artists and Protesters (Pikitia Press) and Octane Render: Conversations with cartoonists about A.I.. His comics have appeared in The Guardian, The Nib and Australian MAD, as well as numerous book collections, including the upcoming anthology Cartoonists for Palestine (Crucial Comix).

He is a founding member of Squishface Comic Studio, a shared workspace for Melbourne cartoonists since 2011, and is deputy president of the Australian Cartoonists Association.

His most recent book is Squishbook: Make comics with Squishface Studio and friends!, a collaboration with 13 comic artists and writers plus a horde of local Grade 2s. In 2024 he has run Squishbook workshops in every Australian state and territory except SA. Sorry SA.
