This year Lithgow Council Library will be celebrating Australian Reading Hour.
Readers of ages between 2-16 are encouraged to come and join the festivities as we come together and celebrate our love of reading.
The Library will provide a picnic styled afternoon tea and readers are encouraged to bring a blanket and enjoy the comfort of socializing and reading together.
There will be a Storytime with a variety of different books read encouraging all ages and celebrating different Australian Authors.
A craft activity will be provided allowing readers to “create” covers of their favourite books which we will then display throughout the Library.
We will have a “Lithgow Reads” logo and if people take a photo holding this sign they will be presented with a lucky door raffle ticket.
At the end of the session, we will draw some lucky winners and they will win a prize!
