LitUp: Expression of Interest
EOIs for the first round of the program are now closed. Successful recipients will be notified in the coming weeks. To stay up to date with LitUp and other Australia Reads news, please sign up for our newsletter.
LitUp is a new live literature initiative from Australia Reads, supporting author events in communities across Australia, in partnership with the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund and Creative Australia.
By filling out this form, you are registering your interest to be considered as one of 20 host communities for the pilot year of the program. The pilot will run in Queensland and New South Wales, with the events held in 2026.
Australia Reads will work with key event organisers from each host community to select a suitable author or illustrator. During their visit, the author/illustrator will participate in 2-3 events at schools, libraries, community centres and/or bookshops across the local area depending on the requirements of your community.
Looking for inspiration for which Australian author you’d like to host? Browse the Author & Illustrator Directory.
