“I read for entertainment and edification. I read so I don’t feel alone – so the vast reaches of the world can be encompassed between the pages of a book. I read to try and make sense of the confusion and chaos around us.”

Thuy On is an arts journalist, editor, critic, and poet. She’s currently Reviews Editor and writer for online publication, ArtsHub. ‘Turbulence’ was her debut collection of poetry published by UWA Publishing in 2022. Her second collection of poetry ‘Decadence’ was published by UWA Publishing in 2022 and was longlisted for the 2023 Stella prize.
