Kristin Darell

“Books have the power to change lives. They allow us to escape, but also help us feel and see the world and people in different ways. That’s why every child should have access to stories in whatever form works for them – reading is a precious gift no child should be denied.”

Kristin Darell is a children’s author and journalist. She wrote the best-selling junior fiction novel The Kick-Off, which launched her popular Football Fever series. After working as a broadcast journalist for more than twenty years, Kristin is now a passionate advocate for children’s literature. She spends her time writing, visiting schools and libraries and working for the Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation. She will be releasing an exciting new junior fiction series in September 2024.
