Robert Vescio

“Reading makes you think. As a children’s author, my aim is make my readers think. When I write, I’m writing for a reader. I want to arouse their imagination. I want to strike a chord and provoke them. Stories are fun and powerful. They open your mind to new things and possibilities. Words are precious. They provide a way into reality. Good stories help us to make sense of the world. They invite us to discover what it’s like to be someone else for a little while. Reading is an exploration. As a writer, I put myself out there to help children deal with changes in their lives and to better understand their world and relationships. A book is like a friend. They can give you a comforting message that you are never alone.”
