Emily Spurr

Shortlisted for the prestigious Victorian Premier’s Unpublished Manuscript Prize, A Million Things is her first novel.
“Reading, I think, operates on many levels. It opens the mind and the heart. We learn and expand our knowledge through reading but reading also helps helps us on a much deeper level. There are few things we do as humans that require we step into the mind, life, story or experience of another, but the act of reading stories demands this of us. Reading enables people to understand others better. Reading makes as better, more empathetic humans. We could all do with reading a little more.”
